Before appearing in dining rooms, crispy hoecakes, smokes hams, frozen ice creams, and other foods required the work of gardeners, housekeepers, cooks, butlers and waiters – all under Martha Washington’s careful supervision. Follow food from the estate's field to the table. |

The Maple Syrup event will be held in the William Houck (Lake) Area and feature continuous working demonstrations of the traditional maple syrup-making process. For an additional charge (cash only) a delicious hot pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm (or until sold out). |
